Why are Astralux blinds perfect for (but not limited to) the Healthcare Sector.
Here's a few reasons, they offer minimum maintenance, easy to clean, durable and robust design, easy to use, have multiple control options and provide complete light and privacy control.
Let’s talk durability - The Astralux 1000 vertical blind, Astralux 3000 roller blind and the Astralux 4000 framed roller blind are the most common choice within the healthcare sector. Like all of our systems, they are made to withstand rigorous and daily use and have been a staple addition in healthcare settings nationally. They need little to no maintenance and come as standard with moisture resistant fabric that is biosafe accredited – Check out our core fabrics HERE.

Typically the following specification is the go to for Hospitals such as Pinderfields, Derby Royal and Teesside:
'Astralux 1000 vertical louvre blinds complete with extruded aluminium headrails finished in white, plastic wheeled carriers, operation of louvres by wand for traverse and rotation using 89mm wide Obscura fabric and sealed louvre weights throughout.'
This specification satisfies infection control, with the lack of chains and surface areas means less place for dust to settle. The easy to reach componentry and simple design make it easy to wipe down and sanitise. Obscura Fabric is made up of 75% PVC and 25% Fibreglass, which means it is moisture resistant and can handle a 5% diluted chemical solution, meaning they can handle the required cleaning routines in the healthcare sector.
If you’re working on a healthcare project and looking for a product that adheres to infection control and is reliable and functional, then give our team a call. We will provide you with on hand support from start to finish.
