Proud to Support the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease

At Dearnleys, we’re incredibly proud to have played a part in the creation of the newly opened Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, delivered by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust at Seacroft Hospital working alongside I&G.
Our team was commissioned to help shape a calm, welcoming and functional environment for patients, families and staff by supplying and installing a range of high-quality specialist blind, curtain and curtain track systems throughout the centre.

Our installation included:
- 25 × top-fixed Silent Gliss 2810 vertical louvre blinds
- 2nr Double systems × Silent Gliss 4980 motorised roller blinds with remote control installed in a bespoke pelmet system
- 14 x Silent Gliss 4910 Roller blinds
- 2 x silent Gliss metropoles with Silent Gliss Curtains
- Fixed screen shaped panels to complement the triangular and shaped windows 43.2m of Silent Gliss System 6100 powder-coated white cubicle curtain track

We’re honoured that our products and expertise contribute to a space where, for the very first time, all Motor Neurone Disease services are brought together under one roof. The centre houses specialist nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, nutritionists and more – ensuring patients receive fully integrated, accessible support in one purpose-built location. It also features clinical rooms, communal spaces and outdoor areas showcasing the latest equipment and technologies for people living with MND.
This ground breaking project was made possible thanks to Leeds Hospitals Charity’s fundraising appeal to build the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, which raised an incredible £6.8 million to turn this vision into reality.
We’re proud that Dearnleys could help enhance this ‘first-of-its-kind’ centre and the experience of everyone who will use it.
