Yet another university shaded by Dearnleys

12 May 2017

The Clifton Campus at Nottingham Trent University has recently undergone a major investment programme to enhance the facilities for the 8,000 students who are based at this site.

Part of this multi-million pound spend was the creation of The Pavilion, a space for students to meet and study with full height glazing flooding the space with light.

To help control light and glare the lower sections of the curtain walling were shaded by Dearnleys using the Astralux 3000 roller system. These blinds were fitted with screen fabric with a 1% openness.

The new teaching suites at this campus were also shaded using motorised and manually operated Astralux 3000 rollers. The motorised blinds were installed to high level windows in three presentation suites with the blinds easily controlled via radio controlled switches.

Battery operated motor roller blinds were also used at this site.

In total, nearly 200 blinds were provided by Dearnleys. The company has extensive experience in supplying and installing solar shading in the education sector and you can see more project examples here.
